School Farm Tours
We
belong to farms for schools and welcome any group of any age. Do
come for a free pre visit to discuss you requirements.
School
and College parties or classes, all ages from play school to university.
The
trips are 1.5 hours long with 0.5 hrs of talks in the barn. The
tractor and trailer rides stop at various points where farming practices
are pointed out. Also the geography of the area and the flora and
fauna are pointed out. The talks can be tailored as to how much
detail is required. With a question and answer session at each point
there is lots of information on the countryside to be acquired.
Please
note this is a working farm and not a farm park. So when you come
you can see a working farm and learn what goes on and the wildlife
and flowers that are associated with it.
We will help schools visits and have our risk assessment which can
be sent on request and have a comprehensive insurance. We also have
a new barn now with the help of DEFRA and can take disabled people.
If schools would like to phone in advance we can help them: ring
01273 452028.
We welcome teachers for a pre visit to discuss their requirements
for the school needs
We belong and are approved by the Countryside Educational Visits
Accreditation Scheme - cevas

Fishing Trips
Parties
from schools can be accommodated. With tackle available on site
we can take parties in either a pleasure session or with coaching.
Many fish are stocked and the wildlife around the lake is also worth
a look. Angling is the largest participant sport in the country
so why not let them have a go.
We
have qualified coaches on the site during the summer and winter
months and can give expert tuition in not only catching fish but
also how to handle them to cause the least stress.
Why
not combine the two and do a swap over half way through the day.
There is a cafe on site as well as room to bring your own packed
lunches.
